Tobi Odeleye, Ph.D.

Dr. Odeleye is the director of the Odeleye Chemical Education Research Group. She
is a chemical education researcher, and her research interests revolve around different
factors that influence student attitudes towards chemistry specifically, and STEM
fields in general. She believes in a learner-centered classroom and continues to
investigate ways to make her classroom environment learner-oriented. Tobi is an
avid tennis fan and enjoys playing and watching tennis whenever she can.
Dr. Odeleye is WVU's faculty liaison for the
WV Science Public Outreach Team (SPOT). SPOT recruits
and trains student ambassadors to bring presentations about current West Virginia
science, technology, and engineering to West Virginia K-12 classrooms, museums,
and youth programs. WV educators can request Standards-based presentations and
hands-on activities for their school or venue online. Interested students
